Sydney Cove New south Wales

Great South Land 1778

Dear Mother and Father,

We have arrived Australia! I can’t believe how long it took! The journey from England to Australia, It took 8 month, I thought WOW! I miss you so much Mom and Dad.

In February I was loaded to transport ship, The Lady Penryn. The ship was full off rats, lice, cockroaches, worm, flies. A few weeks later Captain Arthur Phillip ordered us to be removed. After we left Tenerife the sea became dirty cause of our terrible sea sickness.

In March the temperature became colder brr! After we left Rio de` Janeiro the sea became very rougher

In April the wind became stronger! After we left Cape Town the sea became very calm and very deep.

In May there’s a very big storm coming, the boat shake, I was rescued 3 month later finally we’ve arrived in Australia.
